Weekly Check In – 8/28/2019

Six weeks out from surgery, and here are the numbers I care about:

  • Weight: 346
  • Blood Sugar: 117

My blood sugar is slightly higher than recent weeks but I’m assuming that’s because yesterday was so wonky. I’m no longer measuring my waist because I found out last week that I’m not doing it right. I tried again this morning, and my measurement was two inches higher than the clothing professional who took it last week. It’s not a skill I need, honestly, I’ll just update that whenever.

I’m nervous. Yesterday was my first day back at work, and it kicked my ass. I took in way more water than I need and I was still dehydrated, or approaching dehydration. I’m really not sure how I’m gonna deal with this. It might be that water is just more important than food until the weather gets back down to the 80s. It might be that that was always the case and I’m an idiot. I ate two tiny-ass meals yesterday (2-3 bites), and then I was too full to drink anything for over an hour. Also I have to start walking more on days off and maybe start hitting the gym. I have to get my stamina back to being able to deal with walking on campuses in this heat.

Here, have a graphic:
